Al-Chibayish Marsh

Nestled within the heart of Thi-Qar Governorate, Al-Chibayish Marsh is a sprawling wetland oasis renowned for its rich biodiversity and significance in local history. It’s an ecological haven that provides sanctuary for various plant and animal species, some of which are found nowhere else on Earth. The marsh also holds cultural significance, as it has been inhabited by communities for centuries, living in harmony with the unique environment.
